Something More Than Just Accommodation

They can be called many things Add Ons, Extras, Online products etc. but these are items that guests can purchase on top of their accommodation. Guest’s who stay in a StayMakers managed property have the option to purchase “Extras”, which can enhance their stay, or make things a little bit easier.

These can be very profitable and also vary depending on what you will offer. It could be simple things tailored to young families i.e. Portacots/High Chair hire. If you live close to the water you could have a water adventure pack that includes sunscreen, beach ball, Frisbee and a bottle of water. This pack could be charged at an amount of $40.00 and is an additional item that the guest can add to their booking – at the time of booking. Welcome Packs or hampers are great to have available as well and these could be specific to honeymooners or romantic getaways. Knowing your demographic is very beneficial when offering these items and it is something you can monitor and see how well these items are selling, do we need to offer more or even increase the price slightly.

If you ever get stuck with thinking about what additional items you could sell to guests, have a think about when you travel and what things you would like to already have organised and paid for before you reach your destination and then upon arrival, those items are there.
